I am a Brooklyn native artist and furniture maker.  I grew up in Ditmas Park, drawing comics and building with legos on my grandmother’s dining table. I started oil painting at SUNY Purchase College. As a postgraduate, I learned metal and woodworking hands-on in the art fabrication industry, building experiential environments and sculptures. I have fabricated works with artists and entities like PowerHouse Arts and Google while splitting time in my studio. After almost ten years, I have shifted gears to focus on my work.  Currently, I am making multimedia portraiture, steel maquettes, an oil series, and a furniture line.

My studio practice combines trades learned through set and art fabrication. I make furniture, sculptures, and imagery. As a result processes and machinery intertwine. Lines blur and saws come close to resembling pencils. With power tools, I shape multimedia portraiture influenced by quantum mechanics. Through more traditional works I explore intimate moments and abstract forms. Whether measured by eye or instrument, my hands are often covered in band-aids, sawdust, oils, graphite, inks, or charcoal.

Humbled by Clark Fitzgerald’s work and studio, I celebrate artists getting their hands dirty, making the user error uniquely beautiful and personal.

Looking forward I aim to build my shop and home.
